For her latest single, Johanna Elisa turns into the “Queen of Winter”, and offers a powerful and deeply lyrical melodic song, where she further explores her unique voice.
In the span of 5+ minutes, while the singer and songwriter hailing from Iceland play the piano masterfully, layers upon layers are added to the ever-evolving instrumental, making up for a bridge between modern and classical music that features carefully crafted piano melodies, ambitious string arrangements and of course her soft and warm vocals. The scenic music video to “Queen of Winter” is equally as impressive, shot in Iceland and featuring breathtaking nature shots of the country.
Drawing inspiration from different works of art such as paintings and sculptures, Johanna Elisa is exploring a variety of music genres and is already working on a full-length album.
