Hailing from Birmingham, John Tibbits has always had a passion for music. He’s now channeling this energy into his solo project, and it’s definitely paying off. Blending the likes of Roy Harper, Declan O’Rourke, and Frank Turner together, Tibbits sound pays homage to multiple different genres and music inspirations, creating a refreshing take on indie-rock.
John Tibbits is back with his highly anticipated E.P “Light of the Flame.” Featuring recently released single “Our Moment,” the 5-track E.P will be sure to leave a lasting impression. From stripped-back, emotionally-penned tunes to anthemic and electronic-tinged offerings, the E.P has something for everyone on it.
Speaking about the E.P, he says: “This is a record that captures an array of themes: growing up (Stupid and Dumb), romance (Find the Key), political cynicism (Light of the flame), a passion for music (Our Moment) and embracing life (Make what you will). Me and Jak (my producer) had a lot of fun recording the EP, and allowed ourselves to experiment with different sounds, especially on Light of the Flame.”
