Last night late show host Carson Daly had London duo Jungle as his musical guests on Last Call, with a performance filmed live at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles. It seems the band has been in the lab working on new material, as they played a previously unreleased song called, appropriately, ‘House In LA‘.
The song is ripe with Jungle’s famous low-end, as it slithers into being and becomes coupled with tantalising vocals that are rich with potential. The song takes that energy and ramps it into a psych-rock body, which shows a more measured and grandiose form of songwriting from the band. If this performance of ‘House In LA‘ is an indicator of what’s to come from Jungle, then we should be excited. Watch below.
There’s no news yet about an official release for ‘House In LA’, or the follow-up to their smash hit self-titled debut album, but they can’t be far down the pipeline. Keep your eyes on Jungle’s Facebook page for updates.
