Chart topping pop band Kadebostany have released their brand new EP ‘Drama – Act 1’ alongside an incredible and ground-breaking 20 minute video, showcasing all 4 songs.
Best known for their breakthrough singles ‘Castle In The Snow’, ‘Mind If I Stay’ and their version of Beyonce’s ‘Crazy In Love’, which was featured in Hollywood blockbuster Fifty Shades of Grey, this EP introduces their new contrasting and cutting-edge collection of modern pop music.
The video introduces the challenging new world that leader Guillaume de Kadebostany has been creating; a twisted theatre play in 5 different languages, influenced by surreal movie aesthetics and grandiose theatre. The video was shot in 4 days in Istanbul with a spontaneous approach, where a context was created to let the magic happen out of improvised situations.
Best described as “sophisticated music with mass appeal”, ‘Drama – Act 1’ marks the beginning of a new era with its audaciousness and unpredictability. Featuring Irina Rimes (Letters from Her), KAZKA (Baby I’m Ok), and Kadebostany’s new live singers Fang The Great (I wasn’t made for love) and Celia (Take it away from me), the selected four vocalists contribute their distinct personalities and particular influences to both an authentic consistence and a resounding diversification.
The EP comprises of four songs – ‘Baby I’m Okay’, a track developed around the theme of L’au Dellà with references to space, communication and connections between people, ‘It Wasn’t Made For Love’, ‘Letters From Her’, a track inspired by Sofia Coppola’s Virgin Suicide films and ‘Take It Away From Her’.
With the ambition to constantly reinvent themselves in an original musical universe, Kadebostany rapidly capture attention far and wide with their singular brand of pop music and their unique visual identity.
