Kael Alden Makes A Statement With ‘How Can You Sit There?’

Kael Alden is clearly a very well versed musician. When this came across the desk, we thought “how is this guy new?”. Sonically, he could be on a major label, but there is too much soul in there for it not to be independent. It is a bit of a marvel in the context of other music nowadays, and this is down to his influences – which are not what you would expect.

He grew up in rural Colorado in the late 80s, at the beginning of commercial video game culture. This is where his first introduction to music came – from 8 bit soundtracks like Zelda, a game which he used to have to complete in full to listen to the soundtrack again and again.

His history also includes his band ‘Faded Paper Figures’, who do very decent numbers online. On top of this, he has written the music for commercials including Lexus! This new project however, is his creative masterpiece that sits above the rest.

Politically driven, this song raises the question we’ve all been asking in the midst of a geo-political meltdown, How Can You Sit There?.  We could go on, but his stunning music video tells a much better story than we can with words, which we have the exclusive premiere for. Do yourself a favour, and check it out!
