KK Lewis drops authentic single ‘Good Enough’

KK Lewis has released the chilled and captivating new single ‘Good Enough’, reminding us all why she is one of the most promising indie artists on the scene. Her velvety vocal possesses an emotive grittiness at moments and a dreaminess at others as she sings smooth melodies over a deep, grooving bassline and trickling beats. The unique production of this indie pop track, with soul and folk undertones, complements the vulnerability of KK’s moving lyrics.

Opening up about her new release, KK reveals: “This track was like a form of therapy for me, all of these bottled-up emotions spilling out at once and I knew I needed it to be on the EP. I allowed myself to be vulnerable in a way that I have never expressed before. Through the video and through the lyrics of this song I hope some people can resonate with my story and it helps them feel less alone.”

KK Lewis first made a name for herself busking in Dublin, before dropping her debut single ‘Loop Now’ last year, which led to her being crowned ‘One To Watch’ for 2021. Her upcoming EP, recorded with fellow Irish musician Papa Rua, will be released with Anon Records in April and showcases the contemporary influences that KK has been bringing to her folk background, inspired by artists such as Joy Crookes and Biig Piig. With such a refreshing sound and compelling songwriting ability, KK Lewis is certainly set for big things this year.
