KQualiti drops one shot showstopper with new single ‘Vanpersie’

Release Date: Out Now!

Hailing from Kingston Jamaica, artist KQualiti released his new single ‘Vanpersie‘ on the 2nd of May 2025. KQualiti was inspired while watching the Dutch football legend Vanpersie play, he felt rhymes come over him naturally and couldn’t stop himself from crafting a new flow. Assisted with the guidance of his manager, KQualiti kept to the football theme and incorporated Pele and Valverdie into the song. Written over the days following, “it was so easy coming up with the ideas which I had conquered the task that same week ends.” The track came together naturally, recorded in Todd recording studio by engineer Carlos Allwood whom the track was also mixed by. Much like the prowess of the player which inspired the song, Vanpersie was laid down in one take, a nod to the talent KQualiti holds. KQualiti got in contact with Lukie D, a famous and popular singer from the L.U.S.T group, after receiving lyrics and melody, it took him no time at all to send back a fiery verse.

KQualiti, born Shakir Christopher Campbell on January 25, 1997, is a vibrant Jamaican Dancehall and Reggae artist hailing from the heart of Kingston, Jamaica. Raised in the culturally rich Red Hills Road community, KQualiti’s music pulses with the rhythms and spirit of his hometown. Inspired by local legends like Buju Banton, Flourgon, and Sanchez, he began his musical journey at a young age, recording his first song at just 13.

A product of St. Richard’s Primary and Pembroke Hall High, KQualiti honed his craft at the LEAP Center, where he shone as the lead singer and drummer of the LEAP band. Balancing early jobs in construction, telecommunications, and power services, he never lost sight of his passion, recording a string of singles over four years with Sekimahj Record Label. Now, KQualiti is collaborating with Stackz&Brixxx Entertainment (USA) and Blacker Dread Records (London, UK) on an eagerly awaited album that promises to showcase his authentic, lyrically conscious sound.

Known for electrifying live performances alongside Jamaican icons like Luciano, Louie Culture, and Major Mackerel, KQualiti has built a loyal fan base in Jamaica and is poised for global impact. His music, a dynamic blend of Dancehall and Reggae, captures the energy and soul of his roots, marking him as a rising star to watch.
