LAMIA unleashes a fierce and defiant sound with ‘Cobra’

Emerging from the avant-garde electronic scenes of London and Berlin, artist-producer LAMIA returns with Cobra, a bold and uncompromising new single, via AWAL. Fusing elements of experimental electronic, deconstructed club, and industrial music, Cobra delivers a sharp-edged sonic assault laced with biting satire and rebellious energy.

LAMIA describes Cobra as “punk without guitars,” an apt characterization of the track’s raw, unfiltered intensity. With its heavy beats, distorted synths, and haunting vocals, the song challenges the notion of self-worth in a world that constantly demands more. “It makes fun of the idea that we are not enough,” LAMIA explains. “People are fed up with being made to feel this.” As with all her work, Cobra is entirely self-produced, allowing her full creative control over its aggressive, genre-defying sound.

The single is the first glimpse into LAMIA’s upcoming self-produced album, expected later in 2025. The project will see her pushing boundaries even further, blending alt-hip-hop, phonk, and cinematic soundscapes into a unique sonic universe.

With Cobra, LAMIA stakes her claim as a true innovator in the electronic music landscape. Fierce, subversive, and unapologetically original, the track offers a glimpse into the rebellious world she continues to build—one that challenges convention, inspires defiance, and refuses to be ignored.
