This latest single ‘Bad,’ is centered around putting yourself first, walking away from that toxic relationship, and stepping into your power. The soundscape is a slow burner, ebbing and flowing around Lina’s outstanding vocal presence. There are captivating moments of vocal harmony, made all the more impactful by the riffs and runs that Lina peppers throughout the track. Produced by the acclaimed producer Baker Aaron, the instrumentation slowly crescendos and builds, gaining momentum as Lina’s empowering message is reiterated throughout the track. Speaking on the single, Lina Nikol shares,
“Every person who has gone through a bad relationship can relate to this song. It’s about learning to let go of something that’s not right for you, setting the boundaries, knowing your worth, and realising that when you break that bad habit, you give yourself permission to experience something much more fulfilling even if it takes time.”
