Listen to Dylan Cartlidge’s genre blurring ‘Love Spoons’

London based Dylan Cartlidge has made a firm first step onto the U.K. music scene with his genre-bending debut, ‘Love Spoons‘.

A mixture of hip-hop, R&B, indie, funk, neo-soul and more, ‘Love Spoons‘ gives big nods to artists such as OutKast and Beck. Somewhere between rapping and singing, Cartlidge meanders his way across the equally roaming bass line, which at times sounds like it has a mind of its own. Listen to ‘Love Spoons‘ below.

It’s hard to decide which genre to place newcomer Cartlidge into, so instead, let’s not bother. Whatever it is he’s doing, we’re definitely hooked on it already. Watch this space for updates on this multi-instrumentalist’s sound.
