This attitude has taken him to camps and competitions worldwide, consistently acclaimed wherever his journey takes him. Luchi has been known to use his music not only as a helping hand to others but as a key part of accepting his own identity, true-to-life stories filled with honesty.
The Glasgow-born artist’s new track is ‘Like This’ is out now, a love-drenched ballad affectionately complimentary to the highest degree. Supported by harmonically rich vocal layers, the lead line’s sentimental approach is chosen meticulously, each melody evoking a glimmering pop feel. Soft, sparkling and airy synths float around the melodies, whilst the drums offer a steady and reverb-covered core, further building an atmospheric listening experience.
After anthemic, infectious choruses and delicate verses, the bridge triggers a final wave of passion, starting vulnerable before emerging into a confident final chorus. By stripping back instrumental complexity, Luchi allows each element to cut through and shine, building and releasing the yearning tension.
“The song focuses on that excitement at the start of a relationship where you are falling in love and feel like you want to spend all your time talking to this person,” Luchi explains. “I am fiercely independent and love my alone time, but in this situation I was realizing that I was on my own and wanting to still be with them. I wrote this song just with an acoustic guitar sound and with my producer Chris Stagg, we worked on quite a few different ways to present the song and different sounds but then landed on the sound you hear now.”
