Maia is a jazz / pop singer-songwriter from London.
In 2009 Maia and her family relocated to Croatia and during this time she studied classical vocals at the accredited school of music in Dubrovnik.
2013 saw her return to London to study contemporary music and to develop her own sound, which combined jazz and soul along with aspects of music she listened to during her childhood, such as Hooverphonic and Portishead.
In 2017 Maia was invited to sing on the title track of the British independent film ‘Provenance’.
Maia is currently writing her first EP, which she aims to release at some point 2021.
‘Bad Guy’ is Maia’s latest release and it shines with jazzy vocals and trancesque beats, the blend of these genres is both fresh and innovative.
‘Bad Guy’ appears to have set the stage for the tone and melody of the EP, which guarantees that we will be in for a real treat, particularly in regards to the vocal side of things.
