Melbourne-based Malcura have dropped their much awaited album ‘Malcura II’ with an abundance of passion and flair that is sure to get you moving. Creating their own unique brand of Flamenco, Gypsy Jazz, Latin rhythms, Rock ‘n’ Roll tendencies and the odd Heavy Metal riff, their music and lyricism is a wonder to experience. Each member brings their own impressive talents to the group, with Joshua Voce driving dynamic lead-guitar, Simon Wood delivering powerful drums, Steven Angell on Rhythm guitar and Colin Andrews on Bass. The flamenco sensations are a must-listen and their new album is a sonic journey from start to finish.

Malcura have rapidly been making a name for themselves, attracting worldwide attention in 2016 with their renditions of Daft Punk’s ‘Get Lucky’ and the ‘Gerudo Valley Theme’ from the video game Zelda – amassing over 8 million viral views on Youtube. Their self-titled debut album sold over 3000 copies and was also nominated for Best Global/Reggae Album at The Age Music Victoria Awards. The group have also performed at many gigs and festivals including Illawarra Folk Festival, Byron Bay International Guitar Festival, Blue Mountains Music Festival and countless shows across Australia. Honing their craft as buskers in Melbourne’s Bourke Street Mall, Malcura have come a long way and are full-speed ahead to a long career in the music industry.
