Manpreet Kundi unveils radiant new single ‘unresolved’

A singer-songwriter based in the English county of Berkshire, Manpreet Kundi is an artist tagged with a uniquely dreamy sound. Taking influence from the likes of Lana Del Rey, Lizzy McAlpine and Katie Gregson-MacLeod, Manpreet paints intimate emotions with a blend of pop, indie and alt-Z sensibilities.

Manpreet’s latest single is the gorgeously orchestrated heartbreaker ‘unresolved’. Instrumentally, the artist crafts a moving arrangement filled with gentle acoustic guitar sways and flowing string ensembles. The steady drums are treated as a pounding heart, focusing the sun through the trees as Manpreet delivers a radiant vocal performance that leaves an impactful evocativeness on the listener. As the track ends, the music slips through your fingers leaving you lost in the melancholy.

Manpreet shares the track’s story, “‘unresolved’ is a guitar lullaby I wrote telling a tale of innocent, undefined love; like watching sunrises in cars parked on streets, and feeling a way you never have before in your life. Thinking that maybe, just maybe they feel the same – except they don’t say a word at all. They begin to pull back after a moment which brought you nothing but clarity. It’s sweet hopefulness and searing doubt all at the same time—and you realise you’re in deep without being certain of how they feel at all.

This is the fourth single from a concept EP close to my heart; with each song embodying a significant part of the story surrounding the EP. This body of work has been developed in a home studio, and co-produced entirely with my boyfriend.”
