French artist Maxime brings emotions and honesty to the forefront, weaving a compelling narrative on his latest album ‘The Honest Me P1’.
Taking full creative autonomy Maxime, has honed his skills as a producer, writer and performer over the years and fleshes out his honest vision throughout the seven-track body of work. With pop sensibilities that mould each subject explored into a palpable listening experience, his unique delivery showcases his vast artistry.
The opening track ‘Is This Love?’ not only sets the tone for the project but boasts heartfelt visuals in its accompanying music video: a feel-good jolt of emotion. The subsequent lush sounds of ‘WTTW (Welcome To The World)’ are hypnotic and transcendent, while ‘Look At Me Now’ carries a haunting vocal performance and dynamic production, with a crescendo of percussion and intensity. Featured singer Sheryl’s breathy tone further accentuates the emotional power behind the track.
Other highlights include ‘Tonight’, which keeps the mood going with elements of the cinematic and the final track ‘Apologies’ which begins intimately and develops through musical peaks and valleys to reach a stadium-ready climax.
