Melbourne marvel Sir Jude braces the release of her brooding debut album ‘Revelations’ out Friday 18th November by sharing new visual for its title track out now.
‘Revelations’ captivates us with soul stirring and atmospheric vocals from Sir Jude whilst the accompanying visuals have some what of a macabre and surreal feel to them.
With her theatrical approach to modern-day pop, Sir Jude’s diverse range allowed her to intricately connect the dots and create Revelations, her first full length project.
Marking such a prominent period in her life, Revelations is a body of work that represents a sonic journey of unravelling internalised misogyny and discovery of the self, wherein each song the same question is posed: What does it mean to be a woman today?
Speaking about the new project, Sir Jude shares, “The concept of Revelations is open letter to indecision, miscommunications and mistakes. A dissection of love in its ugliness and insecurities. Of being heart-broken and simultaneously being heartless.
A ruthless depiction of self-truth and within that, choice. The choice to love, to continue loving and the choice not to.
There were so many factors and elements in the production of this video. It was such a pleasure to produce it and see the idea come to life.
I am so lucky to have a strong team of creative around me that I call friends. It wouldn’t have been possible without them.
Every placement of every prop or shot was deeply considered so we could tell the larger part of this story that is ultimately about being reborn with a new found freedom of choice, love and empowerment.”
