Rising talent Mighloe has released her highly-anticipated new EP Desperate Times, alongside a mesmerising live performance visual for lead single ‘Cruel’. Throughout the record, Mighloe lends her smooth and distinctive vocals to vulnerable yet empowering lyricism, accompanied by the dreamy guitar riffs and refined percussion of Dean Vision and LateNightDrive’s polished production. Ushering listeners into a dark and sultry reverie, Mighloe’s emotive brand of R&B is utterly entrancing.
Discussing the meaning behind ‘Cruel’, Mighloe reveals: “‘Cruel’ is my empowerment. It is a reminder of who I once was; Broken. And of the strength it took to put myself back together. The resilience. I am better now. I am free. I am powerful. Your cruelness will never again take a toll on me.”
Based in Toronto, singer-songwriter Mighloe has been featured on multiple popular R&B platforms such as R&B Radar and EscapeTracks, as well as performing online shows for Flare Magazine’s Lilith Flare concert series. Her new EP Desperate Times marks her third independently released project, and the first to be licensed by Toronto record label Public Records Inc. Mighloe is on an upward trajectory, and is set to become a big name on the R&B scene.
