‘Miss Oblivious’ delights with smooth melodies and addictive lyrics from Harry and The Chicks

East London based pop artist Harry and The Chicks creates pop music with purpose.

Building her own unique world, Harry and The Chicks combines her ‘poptimistic’ music with her own internationally selling fashion merchandise store.

With creativity running through her veins, Harry’s colourful sound and style leaves an unforgettable imprint in your mind.

After appearing on BBC News at Breakfast to speak out against street harassment, BBC Introducing in Essex described Harry and The Chicks as ‘leading the way in campaigning for important issues through her music’.

Opening the song with ‘why do I do this to myself?’ ‘Miss Oblivious’ is ironically about being self.

‘Miss Oblivious’ delights with smooth melodies and addictive lyrics that Harry and The Chicks give life to with her trademark upbeat pop vocal stylings.

The dynamic and harmonically exciting guitar enthused synth and piano based pop track was penned at just fourteen years of age, and the pop songstress worked with producer Imad Salhi on giving ‘Miss Oblivious’ a new lease of life.

The track is reminiscent of Marina and The Diamonds, Sigrid and Katy Perry.

Teen spirited, like a song formed in a diary entry, it’s about everyone she’s loved before. Describing the man she goes for as ‘Mr Mysterious’, Harry, wearing her heart on her sleeve, fell for people before getting to know them first. Harry had failed crushes straight out of the womb, and describes ‘Miss Oblivious’ as her alter ego.

The songwriter shares “I had only been song writing for 2 years before I wrote this song, but it’s stayed in my setlist at every gig since and I’m so happy I can finally show it in the light I dreamed of as a young teenage school girl song writing from my bedroom. It’s probably the oldest song I wrote that I still play live, and I see myself still in Miss Oblivious.”
