The Brooklyn-based Moneypenny is a rising talent from the ‘Big Apple’, and is poised to make some serious waves. In true New York fashion, she has proven herself a creative force and was able to make a big statement in the music industry through the release of ‘Woman’.
Beautifully written and recorded, the vintage guitar sets the perfect tone for her vocals and soulful lyrics to thrive. To be fresh in the indie scene can be hard, but Moneypenny nails it, not only with the track, but also with the accompanying music video.
‘Woman’ is, without a doubt, one of the most interesting music videos we’ve seen. The video plays in reverse but her mouth moves and sings the song correctly (she had to memorize her track in reverse)! Needless to say, her performance throughout this visual sensation, is second to none.
