New York singer-songwriter Aisha Badru uses airy vocals and vivid lyrics to draw listeners into her soulfully emotive world.
Tellingly her latest project, which explores the intersection between romantic entanglements and self-care has the title ‘Learning to Love Again.’
She has just unveiled her new single ‘Move’, which showcases Aisha’s beautiful vocals that compliments the melody which is gentle at the start but then becomes upbeat as the track progresses.
The lyrics of the song are truly therapeutic and empowering and this is also reflected in the choreography of the accompanying visuals.
‘Move’ is a hymnal meditation that awakens into a dance track and in Aisha’s own words “It’s about the healing modality of movement” and “releasing trapped emotions.”
The track is a celebration we didn’t see coming.
“I really am such a lively person. Like, I’m always dancing around the house, but that doesn’t come across” she admits.
“Now I’m at this place where it’s healing for me to work through my emotions through movement.”
