Multi-instrumentalist Jerry Paper shares new track ‘My God’ alongside accompanying video

Jerry Paper has just released a new track in anticipation of his upcoming album, Like A Baby, which is due for release on 12th October.

It’s called ‘My God’ and is a fab synth-pop slow jam with thoughtful lyrics that question the role of wealth in society.

The accompanying video has that right amount of dark humour and bizarre visuals that allows Paper to hammer home the track’s philosophical subject matter. Watch the video below.

Speaking about the new track, Paper says: “When I wrote ‘My God’ I was thinking a lot about how money represents value but in the face of death it’s worthless. I thought about how funny it is to devote a life to amassing wealth beyond what one can use in this life (à la billionaire class currently running the American plutocracy)“.
