The latest from MYRY is ‘The Shards’, a haunting electronica signal that leans into the more danceable style we’ve seen teased in previous releases. Metallic, glistening synth design outline crisp melodies, whilst heavy kicks drive break up the ethereal atmospheres with a pumping energy. Vocally, the artist balances the ghostly with the angelic, moving through emotionally-penned lyricism with gliding melodic lines.
MYRY shares, “I felt the pain of friends who had recently been heartbroken and admired their strength in getting back up and finding themselves again. The song is about the liberating feeling (though somewhat stained with melancholy) when you start to move on and pick up the pace of life again.”
After debuting in 2020 with ‘Ghosts’, MYRY has continues to showcase her talents as a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, diving into every avenue of alternative pop along the way.
