Nature Loves Courage is back with their second release of 2025, ‘Two Strangers‘. The song is a moody, groovy ride that hits just right. The driving rhythmic approach moves the song, with dreamy synths and piano floating around like something out of a late-night cruise. The vocals are layered and smooth, adding to the song’s hypnotic vibe.
“Some people are literally living two lives.”
Singer McKenna Rowe says the song is about living a double life—being one person in public and someone totally different behind closed doors. Inspired by the popular show Severance, the lyrics dive into the idea of a hidden self, a kind of twin you keep tucked away. “Both these inner personas are vying for dominance,” she says.
The lyrics depict the message of the song. “I know my doppleganger lives. I can feel her shadow me. If you wanted a lover, You should know…I’m not sure which one of us was unique?” and “The mirror image of two strangers, balanced on a knife’s edge.” ‘Two Strangers’ is strange, catchy, and a little haunting, and something a lot of people will be able to relate to.
