heyiloveyou is an experimental, ambient, post-rock, trip-hop, electronic project from Croatia.
The single ‘Never’ is a trip-hop track inspired by Bristol icons Portishead and Massive Attack.
The track goes in hard with heavy bass laden beats and shimmering synth effects and then it briefly switches back and forth to haunting instrumentals.
There have been a lot of modern elements incorporated in the track, but the main idea was to stick to the original trip-hop sound and make it sound as if the pioneers of trip-hop started making music in this day and age – with 808, hi-hats, synth pads and all the different elements/techniques used by EDM producers nowadays.
