Ormiston returns with brand new indie-pop gem ‘Step From The Limelight’

Canadian artist Ormiston has arrived back on the scene with a bright new offering titled ‘Step From The Limelight’. Ormiston’s buoyant vocals glide on top of retro-style melodies, making for the perfect easy-breezy summer anthem. Alongside the track’s uplifting, playful sonic vibe, its lyricism taps into the thoughts and feelings of a generation wanting to be part of an empty culture, shaped around a superficial sense of self-esteem building.

After mixing and producing for the likes of Milk & Bone, Heartstreets, Misage and Freida Mari, the multi-talent went on to make his debut in 2013 under the name Beverlay, with the song ‘Typically Her’. The track ended up being remixed by Kaytranada, and hit more than 3 million streams worldwide. Then in 2020, he signed with Canadian label Lisbon Lux Records, and has been building a discography of groovy, chart worthy tracks ever since. With plans to release an album later this year, make sure to keep an ear out for more indie-pop goodness from this rising star.
