Kenmore, Ohio rock band Outdated View, just released their first full-length album ‘Through The Beginning‘. The album gives listeners a solid mix of energy, emotion, and grit. After years of dropping singles, the band finally pulled it all together for this 10-song debut.
The album opens with ‘Locomotivation’, a fast-paced song with catchy rhythm and character filled vocals. It’s a strong opener that sets the tone for what’s to come on the album.
The title track, ‘Through The Beginning’, slows things down a bit. It’s a smooth and spacey rock track, full of reverb and dreamy tones that deliver a wide spectrum of sound, taking listeners on a trip.
The album closes out with ‘Cherry Red’, a guitar-centric song that gives strong outlaw country rock vibes. The 7-plus minute song crescendos throughout with guitar solos stealing the spotlight at the end.
Outdated View started back in 2015, playing blues and rock covers in basements before crafting their own sound. Over the years, they’ve built a blend of alternative rock, blues, and a little bit of psychedelic edge.
“These songs are near and dear to our hearts,” the band says. And after listening to Through The Beginning, it’s easy to hear why.
