PEARL returns with glittery new single ‘Orbit’

After her debut EP ‘Where I Go’ released last summer, PEARL has quickly become a hot talent for her rich alt-pop compositions, full of both vulnerability and confidence. The British singer-songwriter has seen support from the music press and Spotify editorials, noted for her abilities to craft a vast sonic world, pushing boundaries whilst remaining exciting and palatable.

Arriving quickly after her success with single ‘Body Parts’, PEARL’s latest release ‘Orbit’ continues to explore the world we were introduced to earlier this year. Leaning into her infectious pop abilities, PEARL rises through glorious arpeggiated plucks, warm, pulsating pads and airy reverberance with a celestial vocal performance. Swirling through the verses, PEARL then proceeds to crash into the chorus, with the pounding drums, glittery synth nostalgia and bright lead vocal all injecting a monumental energy. As the stars light up the sky, PEARL is leading the ensemble, each layer of electronic design glittering the soundscape.

PEARL shares an insight into the track, “They’re the centre of your universe, but they won’t let you in. Orbiting around their mental health, they keep you at arms length. You’re not going anywhere, you wait for them to let you into their world. Orbit’ is an upbeat and synthy declaration of love and steadfastness in the face of difficult times.”
