Southern California musician and singer-songwriter extraordinaire Pigeon Club has just shared his latest single. The song is off of his forthcoming full length and follows his poignant yet comical song and music video “Liar”.
“Ancient History” is a deeply personal and emotional song that chronicles the artist’s own history with grief, family connection and the quickening pace of time. Working with an all-star team of producers and musicians including John Would and Amy Wood (Fiona Apple, Warren Zevon), Pigeon Club’s new single is a must listen to folk rock anthem. A folky acoustic guitar riff sets the stage of the song with elevated slide guitar soon entering. Pigeon Club’s vocals are deep, rich and soul-baring. The song is shared with a music video that is made up of the artist’s own home videos from his past interjected with current shots of him singing.
