20 year old Austrian singer-songwriter Fanny Tautscher aka Fanschko is not what you would call a “born musician.”
In fact, it wasn’t until the pandemic hit, that she grabbed a guitar and taught herself how to play the instrument and how to write her own songs.
Her debut single ‘Breath’ earned her placements on several Spotify editorial playlists, resulting in close to 400k streams and up to 16k monthly followers.
Fanschko now returns with ‘Pillow Fortress, ’ which tells the moving story of a childhood love that, years later—after the once-beloved person has lost touch with reality due to worsening mental health—comes to appear in a different light.
‘Pillow Fortress’ begins with a quiet intro that leads into the beautiful and stirring vocals of Fanschko, as her lyrics hauntingly convey how mental health issues can impact the ones we love.
The accompanying visuals perfectly reflect the sentiments and memories of yesteryear before things changed so drastically.
