Planet Of Souls brings in Lily Papas for the reflective ‘One’

After making its debut on Netflix’s The Survivors, the new single and second release from duo Planet Of Souls, ‘One’, is now fully unveiled. It offers a cinematic, slow-burning moment rising to hardened transcendence as the arrangement gathers broad frequencies and soars.

Built on a lilting piano chord pattern and supported with rich synth pads and sweeping ambient textures, the production feels intentional and emotive. Featuring the vocals of Lily Papas, she takes centre stage with crystalline, commanding performances, reflective in poetry of unity through chaos, appropriate for our fractured times.

The stillness unfolds into a more dramatic peak, steadily layering light and darkness, each taking the right place at the right time. Swelling and blooming, evoking this feeling of a new beginning.

Paul and Tom of Planet Of Souls share, “‘One’ is a track written during a challenging time, where the world felt isolated, disconnected and dark. We felt the lyrics captured the mood of the time when it was written, and the sentiment is even truer today.”

UK-born and Sydney-based, the producer pairing leans into the ethereal and introspection, their work so far drawing comparisons to London Grammar and others. Alongside their Netflix ties, they’ve amassed support, drawing on past projects to light the fire under something new.
