PREMIERE: Ballast to releases new single ‘Spiders Have Feelings’

London based producer, Ballast, has had a musical journey like no other, from the age of fourteen he has experimented within music to create his own unique sound as a producer, but it wasn’t an overnight success.

The Australian born artist used Australian rock legends such as INXS and Cold Chisel to take those first steps and the rest is history.  Even though rock will run through his veins, it’s the addictive electronic beats that the producer can’t stop wanting to create, which leads to the new effort ‘Spiders Have Feelings’.

The new track builds on some chilled out beats that match the laid-back vocals perfectly, but it’s the dark and emotive lyricism that catches out any listener.  Using influences from hip hop to create a different type of electronic beat, Ballast has pushed the boundaries of the genre and leaves listeners stunned with what can only feel like euphoria.

Speaking on the track, Ballast says:

“My sister and I wrote this song about those moments in life when meeting new people and get given the cold shoulder before you can express your true character”, explains Oscar,  “I have experienced this a number of times during my schooling and even starting some new jobs. I feel like everyone can relate to this in some way at some point in their lives, we all go through it as humans, it’s how we grow and learn. This is where the name of the song comes from, because spiders are often neglected and killed, despite the fact that they never have any malicious intentions.”
