Psyence release alternative-rock infused album “Lessons in Forgetting Everything (L.I.F.E)”

Psyence have managed to get their sound penned down fully. Their sound has already received a warm welcome, and now they’re gearing up to release their second album ‘Lessons In Forgetting Everything (L.I.F.E).’ Hailing from the working-class area of the Potteries, in Staffordshire, West Midlands, their area has a strong heritage in rock and it’s no wonder that this inspiration can be found in their sound.

Their latest album “Lessons in Forgetting Everything (L.I.F.E)” is a 10-track album that is set to take you on a journey. Tracks such as “SUGAR SWEET” and “WONDERVIEW AVENUE” actually nod more towards pop infused ideas, with divine backing vocals, groovy drums and infectious lead vocal lines. Whereas tracks such as “SO HIGH” and “DOMINO” will answer your alternative rock needs. Distorted guitars, angst vocals and thundering drums merge together to create an irresistible sound. All the tracks feature their signature sound and will leave you wanting more.

Speaking about the release: “Our sophomore album is finally here, we’ve spent a lot of time cooped up in the lab over the past two years working on this. Titled, “Lessons In Forgetting Everything” or “L.I.F.E”, depending on which way you want to look at it, it’s a tale of maturity, mental anguish and an ever growing need to break the mould and get away. LIFE IS NOT AN EXACT PSYENCE, but we think our second album comes close to representing who we are and what has happened in our lives in the last couple of years.

Psyence have previously toured with Warmduscher, The Blinders, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, and Saint Agnes and have performed at many UK festivals including Kendall Calling, Tramlines, and Festival No.6 amongst others. Psyence have announced a new album launch event at the Sugarmill in Stoke on 7th October and play at the Shiine Festival in Minehead on 13th November. Other dates to be added soon.
