Queen Cult releases thrashing new single ‘It Matters To Me’

Rising rock outfit Queen Cult are set to blow your ears off with their latest single ‘It Matters To Me.’ Maisie Johnson, Brodie Carson and Piers Jarvis are the masterminds behind Queen Cult. Known for thrashing drums, riff-roaring guitars and infectious vocals, Queen Cult are an irresistible outfit that are sure to rise to the top.

Their latest single ‘It Matters To Me’ showcases this sound. Drums smash through the track, reverberating energy around the mix, whist guitars ebb and flow on top. The bass line glues together the contagious track. On top, vocals are emotionally-penned and forge a formidable partnership when paired with well-penned lyrics.

Discussing the release, Maisie explains:“This song was written for a friend. I wanted to understand it from her perspective and to give her a platform that would radiate with empowerment, after such distrust and pain she had endured. I wanted to show her she is not alone and how undeserving that moment was for her. I wanted her to feel heard, since she felt she had been silenced by that moment. For anyone else unheard or needing that feeling of empowerment in a moment where your femininity or dignity felt stolen. I hear you. You’re valid. It matters x”
