Jamie and Hannah are the masterminds behind indie-folk duo Quiet Houses. Growing up together in Edinburgh, the pair would both take Megabus to Glasgow to watch gigs. They eventually decided to start writing songs together and their musical project was born. With huge accolades already achieved, the pair have got everything in the right place to smash 2023.
Quiet Houses latest offering comes in the form of single “Kiss and Run.” The track showcases a different side to the duo, with a more emotional and vulnerable side showcased. “Kiss and Run” merges indie, folk and electronic together to create a special and immersive vibe that carries itself throughout the tune. With swirling melodies and irresistible vocals, Quiet Houses will be sure to pick you up and leave you wanting more.
Speaking further about the single they share: “Kiss and Run is a song about not being ready to get into a relationship again. We tend to gravitate towards those messy, inbetween, ‘hard to put your finger on’ feelings when we are writing. Kiss and Run focuses on the conflicting feelings that can arise when seeing someone new. It’s about wanting to fall in love again but being scared to lose your main character, single girl energy.”
“Kiss and Run” has been taken from the duo’s upcoming E.P “Since July.” Written during a transitional period in their lives, the E.P will be sure to emotionally connect. We, for one, cannot wait.
