Raquel Kiaraa has released her sophomore single ‘Dear Jesus’, as she goes from strength to strength with another beautiful, gentle, thought-provoking song. The Canada based artist has gained lots of international acclaim and it is easy to see why. Despite the obvious Faith and spiritual connections, the song is universal in its message, and offers something to a listener regardless of their spiritual beliefs. By focusing on hope, Kiaraa remains optimistic, which is essential during 2021 and will resonate upon hearing the track.
While her soul pop style is reflective of a lot of spiritual pop music from the 1960s, there is a distinct contemporary twist which allows Kiaraa to feel relevant and modern. This blending of inspirations is imperative to the song’s success and shows the songwriting talent she possesses. Kiaraa is definitely one to watch for the upcoming year, there would be no surprise if her catchy, thoughtful and challenging songs were on the radio this summer.
