From what was just a name on a toy car licence plate, the stage name Tom One has become an exciting and immense promise in the Electronic Dance scene. It was in 2014 whilst studying music at the University of Manchester that he found love for creating dance music and DJing; acts like Calvin Harris, Disclosure, and Dusky, all helped craft the beginnings of his unique blend of breaks and groovy beats that he impresses with today. As he began to build momentum with his euphoric DJ sets across the UK and abroad, his debut single ‘All I Need Is You’ (2020) featuring vocals from Georgie Wells, was garnering attention on BBC Introducing. Then in 2021, ‘Let the Freedom Begin’ in collaboration with singer Miranda Myles and saxophonist JenJammin Sax, accumulated over 150,000 streams worldwide and once again received BBC Introducing airplay. This only spurred him on, and subsequent releases, such as ‘Cool Off’ in 2022 and ‘Falling for You’ in 2023, further solidified Tom’s presence in the music scene.
