Emerging rock band Mindless Crowd are set to make waves with the release of their latest album ‘Wanderlust’. Released on Friday 30th August 2024, ‘Wanderlust’ is more than just an album, it’s a deeply personal exploration of life’s journeys and the lessons learned along the way.
Formed in 2012 by high school friends Alex (guitar/vocals) and Julien (guitar), with Gaël (bassist) and Lucas (drummer), Mindless Crowd began their journey by covering iconic bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and The Eagles. These early performances across Geneva allowed the band to hone their craft and develop a distinctive sound that has captivated audiences. As they transitioned from covers to original compositions, their fanbase steadily grew, setting the stage for their next creative chapter.
Drawing inspiration from rock legends like Dire Straits and The Doors, as well as modern artists such as Gorillaz, The Strokes and Dope Lemon, Mindless Crowd delivers a hard-rock experience that is both nostalgic and refreshingly original. With over 150,000 listens on Spotify, the rising rockers have a rapidly growing fanbase and are quickly becoming a formidable presence in the rock scene.
The band explains: “The path we choose is the wrong one until we accept that our past is what makes us strong. Do not hate your mistakes – you would have been worse without them” is the poignant message at the heart of their music. The band have also performed live at Les Caves Versoix, Fête de la Musique Genève and Otter Summer Fest Genève with more performances upcoming later this year.
Following the success of their debut EP, the band returns with a collection of tracks that showcase their unique blend. The new album ‘Wanderlust’ is available now on all streaming platforms.
