Coming from a Tamil background, London-raised singer and songwriter Pritt undoubtedly has enormous potential. Allowing herself to be as expressive as possible through her style and femininity, she has set out to empower women’s presence in urban music, as well as blend her background with western R&B music, creating a truly unique combination of melodies and vibes. On top of releasing more than a handful of singles over the past years, the talented artist has worked with BBC 1Xtra presenter Sian Anderson on a project called NEXXT STEP, as well as currently working with massive grime rapper Chip and his label.
Her latest single comes in the form of ‘Identity’, and follows her earlier 2020 release, smooth vibe ‘Tunnel Vision’. In comparison to the latter, ‘Identity’ takes a more energetic approach, offering an ambient instrumental laced with tasteful trap beats. Pritt’s lyrical game is on point and her songwriting is overtly catchy on the tune, as she combines catchy trap flows with smooth R&B singing; a stunning combination that is definitely going to be turning heads.
