Rona Mac is back with stunning EP ‘Shades of Ham’

Multitalented West Wales caravan-dweller Rona Mac has just released her new EP ‘Shades of Ham’, and it is not one to be missed. The musician, producer and songwriter has created a folk-infused sound with splashes of alt-pop that is really turning heads.

‘Shades of Ham’ blends raw, lo-fi elements with crunchy guitar solos and atmospheric EDM twists. Rona’s concoction of sounds creates something particularly stand out and distinctive.

Rona Mac says: “I’m 27, I’m gay, and I live in a caravan. With music, I’d love to help break down walls of pretence: to question the comfortable boxes we put ourselves in and cut straight through to something more real.”

The artist further reveals: “If I can talk about things we’ve been told we shouldn’t, and help people connect to feelings they tucked away in their teens, then I’ll be happy when I’m old”.

The rising talent has played at Focus Wales Showcase, Sŵn Fest, Half moon Putney, Clwb Ifor Bach, New York’s CMJ music marathon and more. Rona has also seen plays on BBCRadio6 and Radio Wales. With a growing fanbase and many successes under her belt already, Rona Mac is a name to keep on your radar.
