Following a long and highly anticipating two year wait, Ryukan finally erupts onto the UK rap scene in emphatic fashion with his incredible debut single ‘Ain’t A Rapper,’ – an infectious track fusing a driving UK hiphop beat with Ryukan’s fast paced and just as hard-hitting bars in a rhythmic flow that will have every lyric reverberating round your head for hours on end. Despite not being the first song he made, Ryukkan felt it was the ideal track to enter the UK scene with and it lyrically explores his real life experience of constantly being mistaken for famous footballers or rappers out of his love for fashion and jewellery. ‘Ain’t A Rapper‘, reinstates the idea that Ryukan is far more than just the limiting title of ‘rapper’; he is a visionary artist who is ready to take the UK scene by storm.

Ryukan is a dynamic and multifaceted musician with deep roots in the Caribbean and a diverse musical background who is currently making waves in the UK music scene. Growing up in a Caribbean household exposed him to a rich tapestry of musical genres, including reggae, slow jams, rare groove, and R&B. While in school, Ryukan dabbled in rap and studio sessions with friends, but music remained a passionate hobby rather than a career pursuit. In 2020, Ryukan embarked on a new business venture by opening a recording studio in New Cross Gate, situated in Lewisham. This prestigious studio also served as both a business venture and productive, creative space for Ryukan which allowed him to evolve his artistry. Over time, Ryukan honed his skills, and his friends became convinced that a serious music career was within reach. Ryukan was initially hesitant but witnessing the flourishing UK rap scene inspired him to take the leap. Today, Ryukan is an emerging scene in the UK music landscape, blending authentic Caribbean influences with contemporary sounds and promising an exciting journey in the world of music.
