VHS Celebs are an unlikely duo that met while chasing tornadoes across the midwest and have been making waves in the synthwave scene ever since with their unique blend of 80s pop culture, futuristic house and electronica.
The band is comprised of two talented musicians Believe and sixtyhertz, who have come together to create music that is both nostalgic and innovative.
Believe is a Grammy-nominated songwriter, lyricist, and vocalist hailing from Atlanta who draws inspiration from his favorite 80s movies, such as The Last Starfighter, Bladerunner and The Breakfast Club.
sixtyhertz is a multi-instrumentalist and producer based in LA.
He is the keyboardist of the band and has worked in the studio with the likes of Tony Maserati.
The duo have just released ‘S.T.A.R.’, which begins with stirring synth melodies as we are taken on a journey where starlit melodies and cosmic dreams intertwine.
‘S.T.A.R.’ is an epic track that wouldn’t be out of place in a sci-fi movie’s soundtrack and this is also reflected in the accompanying visuals, which pays homage to Star Wars in places.
