Sam Huber releases ‘Don’t Touch Me’, first video and single from new album, SCREAM

With Brooklyn as the backdrop, Sam Huber subtly flips off the world with the first single and video from his new album, SCREAM.

Built on a riff that channels Iggy Pop, and lyrics that assert a ‘Hands Off!’ vibe, Huber delivers a gut-punch of post-modern rock.

“To be clear, this song is NOT about the pandemic,” he says. “It’s about personal space and your own integrity, setting up boundaries for your own level of comfort.”

As always with Huber’s lyrics, there’s more to the word than meets the eye. Peeling back the layers there’s a deeper, self-affirming positivity belied by the outwardly confrontational title and chorus.

“Your personal space and how you define it sets up how you determine your body’s own integrity. But it goes beyond that. It’s also the psychological aspect, ‘keep away from my brain, keep away from my soul.’ It’s about claiming and holding onto your own personal power and using it to keep yourself safe and sane.”
