Following on from the huge success of last year’s offering ‘For You’, fast-rising singer and songwriter Sam Walwyn has now returned to deliver the first in a string of new releases, ‘First Place’.
Bringing back the same bright and uplifting direction that has earned him more than 100k TikTok followers in recent months, ‘First Place’ showcases an enormous step forward for the young artist. With his rich and soaring voice measured against a vibrant pop-rock aesthetic, it feels like we are witnessing the start of something very special from the ever-impressive frontman.
Speaking about the new cut, Sam describes it as “a reflective song about not being over someone but not wanting to lose them and wanting to end up on the same page”.
