Samskara Rad shares high-octane single ‘Walk Te’Jo’

Samskara Rad is the moniker of ever-evolving songwriter Simon Marrocco. Initially emerging as part of Melbourne progressive punk band The Mood in the early 80s, Simon would go on to spend over two decades away from the music industry, before returning with a vibrant new perspective in Samskara Rad.

The latest release from Samskara is the high-energy single ‘Walk Te’Jo’. The beat is made of hazy, swirling synths, sprinkled with reversed audio for a vivid but dark feeling. Fast-paced trap drums drive the atmosphere, with rattly hi-hats filling the hi-end and crisp snare cracking amongst the arrangement.

Vocally, the track is effortlessly high-octane, full of skilful flows and infectious hooks. Samskara maintains a performative delivery from start to finish, lavishing in the freedom of the music.

Samskara shares, “I wrote WALK TE’JO fairly quickly. The beat resonated with me and the characters rolled off my tongue. As I still have the rebel within, every now and again I need to let it loose. I think music allows everyone to invest in their own vibe. There is no right or wrong in anything.”
