Sarah Close has shared the heartbreaking visuals for her new track, ‘Only You‘.
‘Only You‘ follows the release of the singer’s debut EP, Caught Up, which was released earlier this year. Caught Up topped the Official Physical Singles Chart with its lead track, ‘Call Me Out‘, amassing 3.3 million streams on Spotify.
The new dreamy pop ballad sees the singer channelling her emotions and addressing the struggle of leaving someone you love. Deep gliding basses and stripped back percussion give the Isle of Wight-native’s warm and endearing vocals room to soar. Watch the intimate visuals below.
Speaking about the themes of the track in a press release, Sarah says: “It’s about that decision when you realise you’re going to leave someone you’re with,” she explains. “You know that it’s not working — and the reason it’s not working isn’t that you don’t like each other. On paper you’re right for each other, but it can’t work, and even if it could work you’re not ready for it. And that’s a painful thing to admit to yourself.”
