Scandinavian art-pop duo Smerz release new song ‘Have fun’

Smerz, the duo of Norway-born, Copenhagen-residing duo Catharina and Henriette, have been making waves recently with a string of finely-crafted, forward-thinking glitch-pop singles released on XL, the home of groundbreaking new artists.

Their latest release is ‘Have fun‘; a song that continues the pair’s fascination with flirtation and flipping expectations. Built around off-kilter electronics and inchoate atmospherics, they sing of their desires – and pulling back from them – “All we wanted was to feel something/ But you’ve been acting like I ain’t got nothing/ I’ll be out far cause I really wanna ask you about living/ I’m free to fall now/ And I act and I talk like I know you so good.”

Have fun‘ comes accompanied by a video that was self-directed and produced by the pair, and further sharpens their image and ideology. Watch the video below.

The duo have also been snapped up by NTS Radio for a show, where they showed off their impeccable music taste and give glimpses of their own new material. You can catch up with the episode of their radio show here.
