“somebody to talk about” is an irresistible new single. The track features a colourful melting pot of thrashing drums, rhythmic, acoustic guitars and glistening lead lines that ebb and flow in between. On top, vocals come soaked in indie-pop sensibilities and wrapped up in well-penned lyricism.
Speaking about the single, they say: “somebody to talk about’ is a song about not caring what people think of you and having the confidence to believe in yourself. Musically, we felt inspired by bands such as the La’s and the Lemonheads, and so it’s the first time using an acoustic guitar in one of our songs, something we now plan to do more often. We love the way it sounds when we blend those different elements together.“
