Essex-based artist and songwriter Shannon Darcy has already made waves with regional music awards and a series of notable live shows. She now returns with a pop-rock powerhouse of a debut EP, made up of six tracks that switch from heartfelt ballads to iconic full-blooded curtain raisers.
Explaining the record in her own words, Shannon states, “I’m so excited to announce that I’m finally releasing my very own EP! This has been in the works for a while and honestly, I’m just buzzing to share it with everyone. I wanted this to consist of a sound and a vibe that relates to each and every aspect of who I am, and I feel that this EP tells a story from start to finish.”
Lending tokens from YUNGBLUD, Billie Eilish, Avril Lavigne and Lola Young, Shannon’s upward trajectory seems to know no bounds. ‘Just Worried Because’ demonstrates Shannon’s versatility, glowing writing style, and ability to craft singable melodies and heart-wrenching piano pieces.
