Releasing her EP Alter Ego, Shawney Rainne creates an emotive soulful catalogue of tracks. Her haunting and powerful vocals envelope each track to take them to a higher plane of musical creativity. Each track has it’s own lyrical/rhythmic signature, communicating with the listener in a subliminal way. Having grown up in an extremely controlling family where music was not allowed and eventually escaping to Nashville at a very young age, Shawney founded the Everything But Country Music (EBCM) in the American Country Music epicentre of Nashville, which proved to be a life changing event. Now, feeling reinvigorated and reborn, she is starting afresh with a new renewed determination to create the music she loves and to help others to do the same.
