SIG SALI injects euphoria into new single ‘Love’s Elixir’

Bristol-based SIG SALI creates vivid, genre-blurring soundscapes of cinematic synth textures and raw, untethered energy. Achieving growing support from the music press, whilst he builds emotionally unfiltered and sonically precise worlds, the upcoming EP Chaos In My Mind will be a project to keep an eye on.

‘Love’s Elixir’, the latest teaser from the project, is a feverish exploration of reckless infatuation. Hazy, retro-futurist synths become a catalyst for jagged guitars and fragmenting vocals. Swelling with emotional urgency, a bed of electronics and beats underpins oscillating defiance in the melody.

There’s an unpredictability to the production; it glitches and it blooms, the vocoder-soaked harmonies twisting and intertwining with the instrumentation. By the final act, there is a true euphoria, a colossal force that grabs all of your attention.

On the single, SIG SALI adds, “This song is about that kind of love that hits like a car crash: you don’t see it coming and suddenly it’s everywhere. It’s reckless, obsessive, messy as hell, but it feels the most alive you’ve ever been! You’re staying out too late, saying too much, laughing at nothing, touching as if you’re trying to memorise each other. There’s this fake confidence in the beginning, like you’re both playing it cool, but underneath, it’s terrifying because you know you’re already in too deep… It’s that moment where you don’t care if it’s gonna fall apart later, you just want to stay in the high a little longer. That’s what this song is. It’s not perfect. It’s real.”
